Our next Mallowman project dissects the phenomenon of forgotten 80's hits transformed into top 40 songs. Intrigued??? Click here for a quick prototype.
Here's where YOU come in! I need examples. So far I've got Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Right Round" vs Flo Rida's "You Spin My Head," A-Ha's "Take On Me vs Pitbull & Aggie's "I Want To Feel This Moment" and a dance song that is incredibly similar to Simon and Garfunkel's "Cecilia" but I don't know the name. Please add more examples in the comments...it's the right thing to do!
So while we're at it, what's going on anyway? Maybe these 80's songs would disappear without some new love. Maybe there simply are no more original tunes to crank out. Maybe "artists" today are no talent hacks that buy bargain CD's for a few cents and put the songs to the generic Space Scooter keyboard and distort their talentless voices with lots of bitcrusher. Regardless, billions of bucks can't be wrong! I mean incorrect wrong, not unethical wrong.
